Is it a design product that is closest to an art?
or is it an art work, that could be incredibly design-conscious?
In this exhibition "between the sea and the sky", gift_ and sakumotto have carefully selected the works which you can see in terms of as both art and design.The curators focus on how Japanese creators derive from everyday things and make attractive scenes in their works with a notable Japanese sensitivity. Through these selected works, we can see an inherent fundamental approach of "Ma" - the Japanese word for "space as substance."
